Hockey Program

Students at Newbridge Academy choose from either our daily Hockey Program or daily Athletic Development Program. Both programs are designed and taught by professional, qualified and experiened instructors. Each program provides a hour every day of structured sport training and healthy lifestyle awareness. Students in grades three-nine also participate in our daily Active Living Program, which encompasses a variety of physical activities, nutrition, teamwork, and sport skills. Overall, students in grades Jr. Primary-Two receive approximately 1 hour of structured physical activity per day and students in grades three-nine receive approximately 2 hours of structured physical activity per day.

Our daily Hockey Program includes on-ice, individual and group skill instruction under the direction of Professional Coaches: Jaro Sevcik, Keifer House, Paddy Flynn and Brad MacCharles, who collectively have over 15 years of NHL, European Hockey, Canadian University, and Major Junior Hockey playing and coaching experience. Our daily Hockey Program f ocuses on player development and team play during the daily practice, as well as skill and fitness training, and nutrition and healthy lifestyle awareness. A ll skills are tested, developed, tracked and reported for optimum success.
