Advanced Tennis Program

  • For students in grades four through nine.
  • One hour of i nstructed court time at the Daniel Nestor Tennis Centre in Bedford up to five days per week. All Tennis specific-training is based on the Tennis Canada Long-Term Athlete Development path (LTAD) and is designed by the Daniel Nestor Tennis Centre Director of Tennis.
  • Tennis-specific fitness with certified instructors (Focused on the       seven key physiological proficiencies— balance,  flexibility, posture, core stability/strength, cardio endurance, nutrition and performance skills).
  • Mental Skills Training to help student-athletes reach their full potential.
  • Athletes will train to peak for Indoor Provincial, Atlantic, and National Championships.

  • December trip to Miami, Florida to participate in three, two-day Casely International Championships. The trip includes flight, hotel, transportation from the hotel to the events, practice time, and coaching. Athletes are responsible for their food and spending money.
  • Full academic classes outline by Nova Scotia Department of Education, taught by Nova Scotia-licensed teachers.
  • All students will be provided with an iPad for the year.
  • Assists students in preparation for post-secondary education.


*Membership fee to the Daniel Nestor Tennis Centre is included in tuition, giving students access to the facility during non-school hours as well.
