Girls and Boys Varsity Hockey Programs


Goal of the program
To create a unique learning and training environment for elite-level players who are looking to combine academics and athletics to pursue post-secondary opportunities as student-athletes.

School Experience

Professional Coaching
This is what we do—we are professional coaches.
  • We’ve played the game at a high level.
  • We’ve coached the game at a high level.
  • We teach the game.
  • We understand the transition and expectations between these levels and how to build a program that facilitates player development and also properly prepares players for the next level(s).
  • We understand the association between teaching skills and tactics, developing skill and tactics, and teaching players to adapt these into team tactics and team systems.
  • We understand and appreciate what Long Term Player Development (LTPD) means and how it should be implemented.

Focused Approach
  • We provide high level training to student-athletes.
  • We understand the differences between elite, competitive and recreational level players.
  • We will apply a building block approach:
o   fundamentals;
o   individual tactics;
o   team tactics; and
o   team play and systems.

Exposure
  • We will work to promote our players so they can have opportunities to advance their hockey and their academics.

o   Education on CIS and NCAA recruiting
o   Knowing the rules and regulations of recruitment

  • Prepare our student-athletes for college/university entrance exams.
